Audrey Ellis was a journalist and writer of cookery books from 1952 to 1985. Although not trained in cookery she published 66 cookery books and two novels.
Ellis worked as Cookery editor until 1968. She published “Casserole Cookery” in 1965, and then was the uncredited auther of “The Womans Own Book of Cake Decorating” She continued regularly to published books until retiring from writing in 1985.
